History of the department
Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences was established on 1.1. 1994. At first, it was located in a building of the Landscape Ecology Institute SAS on Akademická Street in Nitra, later, in 1996 was the department situated in newly constructed extension of a biological departments pavilion on Nábrežie mládeže. Since 2001 it has been moved to a building on Tr. A. Hlinku 1.
